Information We Collect
- Account data you provide: name and email address.
- Optional contact data: a phone number you choose to add. Your phone number is private until you enable sharing for a specific group.
- Household data: household names, guardian names, children or pets, vehicles, attendance, ride notes, and schedules that you or another authorized guardian enter.
- Technical data: session, device, notification, and security information needed to operate the service.
2
How We Use Your Data
- To coordinate groups, households, attendance, and shared rides.
- To send account, ride, coverage, and notification messages you have enabled.
- To protect the service, troubleshoot issues, and maintain audit records.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3
Sharing With Others
- Members of a group can see the household, child, vehicle, attendance, and ride information needed to coordinate that group.
- Phone and email sharing is optional per group. When enabled, all active members of that group can see the selected method. They may copy, screenshot, or forward it.
- Service providers such as hosting, email, push-notification, authentication, and realtime-delivery providers process data only to provide the service.
4
Data Retention
- You can schedule account deletion in Preferences. Sign-in and optional notifications stop immediately, and permanent deletion occurs after a seven-day cancellation period.
- Some shared, anonymized operational history may remain where needed to preserve a group’s ride history or legal records.
- If you opt out of notifications, we keep minimal metadata for compliance (e.g., audit logs).
5
Your Rights & Choices
- You may view, edit, or delete personal data through Preferences or request help from our Privacy Contact.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, or raise a privacy complaint at legal@shuttleclub.ca.
- To report abuse or a safety concern, use the Help & privacy page in the app or contact hi@shuttleclub.ca.
6
Security
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
- The application is hosted through Vercel, and application records are stored in Neon PostgreSQL. We use access controls, hashed passwords, protected sessions, and reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service.
- Vercel and Neon provide additional infrastructure security controls according to their current security practices and terms.
7
Children's Privacy
- Accounts are for adults 18 and older. The app is not directed at children under 13. Adults are responsible for having authority to enter household and child information.

Changes to This Policy
- We may update this policy. Any material change will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
